Aero Towing Mirror Test

We did a test drive with our new Aero towing mirrors and the only negative I can report is a headache from the cold blast coming in the open car window. You can see for yourself how steady the Aero mirror is, even though it's hanging out there 10" beyond our car mirror. The Aero proved itself worthy even on an old brick segment of the Lincoln Highway, where we deliberately drove to shake things up a bit.

The Aero is easy to clamp on and we get a very reliable feeling that it will never just drop off. Since we weren't attached to our trailer for this test, we didn't adjust the view of the mirror very carefully, so don't over-analyze that aspect of how the Aero performs.

Looks like the Aero mirrors are going to be a big hit with us.

UPDATE:  We now have genuine towing experience of over 3 weeks with the Aero mirrors and think they're great. We like the light weight, the secure attachment to our car mirrors, the ease of putting them on and taking them off, and the ease of minor adjustments. The Aero mirrors eliminate all concerns about blind spots, and are absolutely critical to safe lane changes in heavy traffic.

They do stick out farther than we like, however, and it's likely that we're going to cut off the arm lengths, probably just an inch at a time to see what length we really like. On our first trip with these mirrors, there were two instances in which we took the Aero mirrors off of our car because they were unnervingly wide--once on a very narrow two-way road, and once to go through a narrow tunnel.
